Boat

Follo features lovely long coastlines. It is therefore inevitable that travel by boat is often the best, and sometimes the only, method of transport if you want to experience the region’s gems.

The only way to visit Oscarsborg Fortress is by boat. If you do not have your own boat, you are welcome aboard the Norwegian Armed Forces’ MS Oscarsborg II.

The Nesoddfergene ferries travel between Oslo/Lysaker and Nesoddtangen all year round. In the summer, some of these ferries travel all the way along Nesoddlandet and on to Oscarsborg Fortress, Drøbak and Son.

Oscarsborg II

With frequent daily departures, the Oscarsborg II transports guests and visitors from the mainland to Oscarsborg Fortress. The ferry takes approximately 10 minutes from Drøbak. The ferry leaves from Sundbrygga on the land side all year round, and from Drøbak town centre at weekends and during the summer season. For more information about ferry times and ticket prices, see Oscarsborg Fortress.
